Katy Manderfeld is a performer and creative originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended her first theatre camp at the age of eight and quickly realized that everything she loved to do existed in one place. She was hooked.
This led her to Oklahoma City University, where she earned a B.M. in Musical Theatre. Credits at OCU include Sweeney Todd, Legally Blonde, Everybody, and Orpheus in the Underworld. Katy worked regionally at Quisisana Resort for two summers, where she performed in their Broadway Revue as a soloist and in Kinky Boots (Lauren U/S) and Bright Star (Edna, Margo U/S).
At OCU, her involvement in many organizations enhanced her educational experience and leadership abilities. She had the opportunity to work in arts administration through OCU’s student-produced theatre companies, Out of the Box and OCU STRIPPED. She made her directorial debut with the musical Baby. Katy created MANDEKAT Productions after moving to NYC to create unique shows and performance opportunities for emerging artists. She is so excited to see where this takes her!
In March, Katy made her Off-Broadway debut in the cast of Singfeld: A Musical Parody as Elaine. You can catch her at The Theater Center!
When she is not in the theater, you can find her watching rom-com movies, crafting, walking in a park, or heading to improv rehearsals! Katy brings her most authentic self to everything she does, and by doing so, she hopes to inspire others through her work!
