Learn About Katy

Katy Manderfeld is a performer and creative based in New York City. Katy is originally from Minnesota, where she was heavily involved in the arts. She recently graduated from Oklahoma City University, earning a BM in Musical Theatre. Credits at OCU include Sweeney Todd, Legally Blonde, Everybody, and Orpheus in the Underworld. She also made her directorial debut with the musical Baby. Katy worked regionally at Quisisana Resort, performing in their Broadway Revue as a soloist and in Kinky Boots (Lauren U/S) and BrightStar (Edna, Margo U/S). Katy created her own production company, MANDEKAT Productions, and she is excited to continue to produce shows in NYC. Katy recently completed her year-long run Off-Broadway in the cast of Singfeld: A Musical Parody as Elaine. Katy brings her most authentic self to everything she does, and by doing so, she hopes to inspire others through her work!

    Katy made her Off-Broadway debut last spring and just concluded her year-long run as Elaine.

  • My Broadway Idol at 54 Below

    My Broadway Idol marked Katy’s third show in the city with her production company, Mandekat Productions

  • Mother Knows Best at 54 Below

    Spring 2025

    “Mother Knows Best: A Mother’s Day Celebration” at 54 Below marked Katy’s second producing credit in the city! The show celebrated the mothers and daughters of Broadway!

  • "The Role I Played in 8th Grade"

    Winter 2025

    Katy created MANDEKAT Productions and produced/performed in “The Role I Played in 8th Grade” at TGR42.

  • Bright Star at Quisisana Resort

    Summer 2024

    Katy returned to Quisisana this summer playing Edna/Margo cover in Bright Star, and performing as a soloist in their Broadway Revue!

  • Senior Recital

    Spring 2024

    On April 14th Katy performed her Senior Music Theatre Recital. She sang an hour-long program consisting of her favorite songs and sang with some of her dearest friends. It was the best day ever!

  • 54 Sings Love Letters to NYC

    Katy made her 54 Below and NYC debut with “54 Sings Love Letters to NYC”

  • Directing Baby at OCU

    Spring 2024

    Katy took on the role of director at Oklahoma City University, setting a stripped-down production of the musical Baby.

  • Sweeney Todd at OCU

    Fall 2023

    Katy was cast in Oklahoma City University’s season opener, Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.

  • Holiday Gala

    Winter 2023

    Katy performed at the Oklahoma City University Holiday Donor Gala as “Cindy Lou Who”

  • Kinky Boots at Quisisana Resort

    Summer 2023

    Katy performed at the Quisisana Resort in Maine in Kinky Boots (Lauren U/S) and their Broadway Revue

  • Workshop with OCU Alum Kelli O'Hara

    Spring 2023

    Katy was chosen to work with Tony Award-winning actress and teaching artist Kelli O’Hara in a visit to Oklahoma City University.
